China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation Wuhan Branch (referred to as Wuhan Branch) and Sinopec Group Asset Management Co., Ltd. Wuhan Branch (referred to as Wuhan Asset Branch) are collectively referred to as Wuhan Petrochemical, a large-scale industrial enterprise directly under Sinopec Group, and its predecessor is Wuhan Petrochemical Plant was built in 1971 and put into operation in 1977. The oil refining part of Wuhan Petrochemical is located in Qingshan District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, covering an area of 239 hectares, with the Yangtze River waterway in the north, and water and land transportation is extremely convenient; Wuhan 800,000 tons/year ethylene project (under construction) is located in the Bajifu area of Jianshe Township, Hongshan 294.8 hectares of land.

The Wuhan branch currently has a crude oil processing capacity of 8.5 million tons per year, a comprehensive supporting capacity of 6.5 million tons per year, and 28 sets of production equipment. The main products are: gasoline, kerosene for lamps, 3# jet aviation fuel oil, light diesel oil, naphtha, solvent oil, alkyl benzene feed, naphthenic acid, MTBE, special heavy oil, fuel oil, industrial flake sulfur, 25 kinds of products, including petroleum coke, polypropylene resin, "triphenyl", and liquefied petroleum gas, are sold in 12 provinces and regions including Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan and Chongqing.

At present, Wuhan Petrochemical is making every effort to promote the construction of 800,000 tons/year ethylene and 8 million tons/year oil products upgrading and refining projects. After the two major projects are completed and put into production in the first half of 2013, Wuhan Petrochemical will enter the ranks of large-scale refining and chemical integration enterprises of 10 million tons. By the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the comprehensive processing capacity of oil refining is expected to reach 10 million tons/year, and the production capacity of ethylene will reach 1 million tons/year. The main technical and economic indicators will strive to reach the world's advanced level.

The company started using Shanghai Schneider Sunshine 6 SRC-330SAG (flow rate 40m³/min, pressure 0.8MPa, voltage 10000V) type air compressor in 2014, which are mainly used for process gas delivery and power gas.
